Rıza Gümbüşoğlu acts as of counsel for CBC Law on litigation-related projects. He has more than 40 years of experience in areas of law, including litigation & dispute resolution, corporate & commercial, and employment law.
The Legal 500 lists Rıza as a leading individual for employment in relation to his work with clients on a comprehensive range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters. He has extensive litigation and dispute resolution experience, representing international companies, Turkish corporates, and start-ups from a wide range of industry sectors in disputes arising from commercial agreements, tortious acts, and with regard to administrative, tax, and customs disputes.
Rıza is well versed in arbitration, acting for clients in relation to the recognition and enforcement of foreign court judgments and arbitral awards. His white-collar crime practice encompasses trade secrets, fraud, embezzlement, bribery, forgery, and money laundering cases. In his corporate practice, Rıza advises clients on the drafting and negotiation of all kinds of commercial agreements, including distributorship, franchise, sale and lease of real estate, construction, partnership, and insurance agreements.
Prior to establishing the Gümbüşoğlu Law Office and joining CBC Law, Rıza was a chief court clerk for the Istanbul Courts of First Instance and, subsequently, a senior partner and dispute resolution and employment practice group leader for one of Türkiye’s leading law firms.
