Derya actively collaborates with our team by conducting preliminary legal research for clients and lawyers, as well as assisting in drafting articles and legal alerts. She brings valuable contributions as a team player and skilled researcher. Her interests span several legal disciplines, including international private law, ethics and compliance, international arbitration, and labour law.
After graduating from Üsküdar American Academy, Derya began her legal studies at Istanbul University Faculty of Law. During her university years, she participated in seminars on topics such as international human rights law, intellectual property, and IT law. She further enriched her legal understanding through coursework at the master's-level at Istanbul University.
As part of her pursuit of an international legal perspective, Derya spent two semesters at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UNIMORE) Faculty of Law in Italy under the Erasmus Program, focusing on international tax law, corporate law, and international criminal law. She also gained practical experience as a legal intern at an international company, working on issues related to Incoterms, personal data protection, intellectual property, Turkish civil aviation, and labour law.
In addition to her legal education, Derya is studying sociology at Istanbul University AUZEF and hones her writing skills by contributing film reviews to an online platform.
